Grifola frondosa is a mushroom used in traditional herbal medicine and also known by its Japanese name “Maitake”. Fermented mycelium extract with hot water has several anti-cancer properties. These kinds of extracts are mycelium products; it can be a food additive and functional ingredient. The actives are polysaccharides. The powder of GF extracts contents polysaccharide 8%.
