<Wire Arc Spray Coating>
Thermal spraying is a coatings process that melts materials, which is called feedstock, and sprayed onto a substrate. The "feedstock" is heated by electrical (plasma or arc) or chemical (combustion flame) methods.
Thermal spraying can provide thick coatings, which is from 10um to several mm, over a large area with higher efficiency compared to other coating processes such as electroplating, physical and chemical vapor deposition. Choices for thermal spray coating materials include metals, alloys, ceramics, polymers and composites.
Electronic wire arc spray is a form of thermal spraying where two consumable metal wires are fed independently into the spray gun. Heat energy is generated from the arc between the two metal wires as them charged. Feeding wires were melted by the heat energy and then atomized by the compressive air from air jet. The atomized melted material are then deposited onto a substrate. Therefore, a protective metallic coating is form.
Arc sprayed coatings can be used to bridge decks, transport pipes, capacitors, welded tube seams, piston rings, varistors, boiler walls , large infrastructures, replace galvanizing, specific alloy build up material, general journal build-up and repair, corrosion protection work, feed rolls and non-slip surfaces.
Plus Metal Tech (PMT) provides services of protective and functional coatings, such as wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, erosion-resistant, conductive and insulative coatings. Our thermal coating service is fully customized. Process choices depend on customer’s demands and the chosen materials. For any questions about surface treatment and enhancement, please do not hesitate to give us the message or email. We welcome for the discussion with you.
