New! BioD-101 Sustainable Earplug
With a mission to be an earth-friendly neighbor, D&D uses recyclable and sustainable packaging materials. BioD-101 are new innovative biodegradable earplugs currently under development and ongoing testing by D&D.
The BioD-101 earplugs are made of an innovative plastic rubber that is durable and long-lasting. This means they can withstand repeated use without damage or wear. When they have reached the end of their shelf life and must be discarded, they will no longer be garbage that has remained on the earth for hundreds of years, but can be gradually decomposed by microorganisms into CO2, CH4 or water in the landfill and return to nature.
Unlike other plant based biodegradable products with a short shelf life, the advantage of BioD-101 is that the product has high stability and can be stored for at least 3 years in a normal storage environment. Only when the product is placed in a landfill, BioD-101 will begin to be biodegraded slowly. BioD-101 are ergonomically designed for comfort and safety and are available with or without a cord. The cord of the earplugs is also made of innovative biodegradable materials, and it is equipped with a small storage box or a reusable bag, which is hygienic and eco-friendly.
According to the ASTM D5511 test standard, BioD-101 has been continuously tested for 281 days, and the biodegradation rate has reached 27.3%. This test is still ongoing and will keep updating the biodegradation rate.

Cleaning and Storage:
- Keep the earplugs clean and free from material that can irritate the ear canal.
- Wash earplugs with mild soap and warm water only. Pat dry with a towel and store when not in use. Do not treat with any other substances, as the earplugs may degrade and compromise effectiveness. With proper maintenance, reusable earplugs can be used daily for 2-4 weeks.
- Store the earplugs in a cool and dry place. Store them out of the reach of children.
