- Characters: These alloys are all austenitic chromium nickel steel with corrosion and heat resistance superior to Type 304. 310 / 310S are designed for high temperature service due to excellent high temperature properties. It resists oxidation in continuous service at temperature up to 1150℃. Generally speaking, starting temperature of environment is 800, 900℃,310 series stainless steel is a better choice.

What it means is that you don’t need to check composition by spectrometer. Operator just puts ingot into furnace and pours molten metal out from furnace when melting complete.

The extension benefit is saving strength of operator and avoiding the risk of wrong composition you might make. After all the composition of scrap is uncertain. This risk just let us take for you.
