This species is found in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans. It is found in temperate and cold seas, mainly between 30°S and 50°S, to nearly 60°S. This species is Highly migratory species. The Southern Bluefin Tuna is a long and muscular fish, with a fusiform and rounded body that is nearly circular in cross section. They are dark blue to black on the dorsal surface and silvery white on the lower sides and belly. There are two dorsal fins, the first dorsal fin is yellow or bluish, the anal fin and the finlets are dusky yellow edged with black. Southern Bluefin Tuna can grow 160 cm to 225 cm in length. Water temperatures in which the species has been found range from 10° to 15° C. Southern bluefin tunas are thermo-conserving and can function over a wide range of temperature conditions. They forage in temperate waters of the southern hemisphere oceans. Fish are line-caught then bled immediately, removing heat and waste products, and keep at -65℃. With this ultra-low temperature technology, fully cured fish water, to prevent browning and acidification, complete retain the original flavor of tuna fish, like fish after thawing as fresh and delicious. Southern Bluefin Tuna fillets are red in color.
