Rubber Keypad

Rubber is very suitable as a keypad, because it rebounds. It’s one of the material’s properties. As long as it is well-designed, it can reduce many complicated design to reach a same touching feeling. Rubber keypad is often used in many area such as phone, computer keypad, calculator, scooter’s panel etc.
Rubber can meet many requirement at the same time because rubber can have many property at a same time such as water-proof, color change, electric conductivity etc.
General speaking, there are 2 ways of designing a rubber keypad. One is physical press, and another is electrical conduct press. First one is often used. There would be one hard button beneath the rubber pad. When keypad is pressed, it just simply press a button. Second one is different. There would be a PC board beneath the keypad, when the rubber keypad is pressed, it has to conduct 2 functional chip so that it can generate the signal.
