Plastic molding, also known as “injection molding”.
During the injection molding process, plastic pellets (rigid when cool but viscous at higher temperatures) are heated to their melting point and then injected into a cavity. As they cool, they harden in that cavity’s shape.
Polycarbonate is a strong thermoplastic polymer that has high stiffness and impact strength, and excellent strength retention at high temperatures. It is easy to work with and can be used for a variety of plastic molded parts.
