Founded in 1961 as the first manufacturer of preservative agent (benzoic acid & sodium benzoate) in Taiwan, Kae Hwa Industrial (KHS) has achieved excellent performance as a reliable supplier of quality products. Owing to the booming demands from our customers, we bought the office and factory (4785m2) in Kaohsiung and invested NT $10,000,000 in 1967,producing chemical raw materials, such as benzoic acid, sodium silicate, acrylic resin, alkyd resin, and cement spray rapid solidification agent. Due to the specialized knowledge in chemical raw materials and additives, we established and developed the plastic factory to produce breathable/non-breathable resin and film in Changhwa Coastal Industrial Park (13114.48m2) in 1998. Breathable film, the plastic compound, is made from PE & PP resin with inorganic additives and agents. After being pressed with T-Die extrusion machine, it comes out as a thin & stretchable membrane-like film. It is waterproof but vapor-permeable through extremely tiny pores. This product is widely used in all kinds of sanitary ware packaging, like back sheets for diapers & sanitary napkins. Our breathable film is totally non-toxic & 100% recyclable. We also developed many laminated fabrics, named Sleepy. Sleepy is made of PE breathable film glue-laminated to non-woven fabric. Sleepy has the benefits of high vapor permeability, good water and bacteria resistance, cloth-like hand-feel, and light weight. It's normally used in disposable backsheets of diapers and napkins, bed covers, isolation gowns, working clothes(underwear anti-dust layer), raincoats, moisture absorbents (industrial and household uses), packing materials, and even the architectural or agricultural cover shield.
