Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva
Ksitigarbha is the bodhisattva of the original wish. His sad wishes far surpass other bodhisattvas, so the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva is known for his vast sad wishes. Because the Ksitigarbha's aspiration is particularly profound, it is also called "Great Wish Ksitigarbha."
There is a record in the Buddhist scriptures that the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva "can send a strong and compassionate terminology to fulfill all sentient beings' wishes." It means the strong bodhicitta of the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, which is like the infinite treasure of the earth's terminology, which maintains the good roots and seeds of all beings, receives suffering for all beings, and satisfies the wishes of all beings.
In the "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Original Wish Sutra", the Buddha told Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva that in the future world, if there is a predestined person to show compassion to help all living beings. When they yearn for liberation, those who see the statue of the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva or hear of the name, take refuge and make offerings heartily, they will do whatever they want.
The Buddha also told Xukongzang Bodhisattva that if someone who is predestined sees the Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and the "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva", recites and supports it, he can get 28 benefits, so it is called "Ksitigarbha 28 Benefits." Heavenly dragons, ghosts and gods, etc., can also obtain seven benefits through recitation of feasts.
