Hydrocyclones
Item No.: | H15898 |

It is used for the removal of large amount of sand and other fine solids, primary filter in a filtration system.
USAGE: The water being injected tangentially into the hydrocyclone causes swriling within the device, thus generating centrifugal force. In this centrifugal field, coarser and heavier particles move toward the wall and are swept downward to the collecting chamber. The spiraling flow is constricted as it moves downward, and hence a central column of water is spiraling upward and exits via the vortex finder. The upward flow carries with it finer and lighter particles. It is used for the removal of large amount of sand and other fine solids, primary filter in a filtration system. The general performance of the hydrocyclone is influenced both by design variables as hydrocyclone dimensions, and operating variables as flow rate, solids concentration and particle-size distribution (for example the typical performance for solids with size > 10 and specific gravity > 1.8 is more than 90% removal by weight at concentrations around 120ppm).Also reccomended as primary filter to self cleaning filters,to prevent problems from sand particles contained in the water.
