The quantitative Histamine ELISA kit is based on the specific immunochemical reactions between antigen and antibody. It relies on the competition of Histamine conjugate and Histamine residue in the sample to bind to the Histamine antigen coating on the microtiter wells. In the test procedure, the sample and the Histamine conjugate are added into the microtiter well. If the chemical is present in the sample, it will compete with the Histamine conjugate. Thus the enzyme-substrate reaction will not generate and only light color shown, indicating a positive result. If there is a negative sample, it will generate deep color after the enzyme-substrate reaction.
