Prepared by simply adding water to the powdered bulk material, the resulting paste is thoroughly mixed until all entrained air bubbles are eliminated. The mortar paste is then trowelled onto the damaged area and any surface irregularities remaining smoothed by sanding down once the mix has fully set. Touch-up mortar mix, manufactured in-house by AKG Gazbeton, is marketed in 18kg kraft-paper sacks fully proofed against moisture penetration.
