<Flame Spray Coating>
Flame spray process has three different types of feedstock, powder-, wire-, or rod-type materials. Heat energy to melt the feedstock is from combustible gasses. Common fuel gases include hydrogen, acetylene, propane, natural gas, etc. Conventional flame spray coating has lower temperatures and velocities and typically results in higher oxides, porosity, and inclusions in coatings. Some flame spray technologies are designed to mainly deposit polymers such as nylons and polyesters to create very low porosity plastic coatings.
Flame spray can be used in industries such as oil exploration, and agriculture. Spray and fuse process are produced to provide wear resistance along with excellent impact resistance. The other industries that use flame spray technology including aerospace, infrastructure, machine repair, etc.
These coatings are used where good wear resistance and excellent impact resistance are required such as with agricultural harvesting components and oil drilling parts.
Plus Metal Tech (PMT) provides services of protective and functional coatings, such as wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, erosion-resistant, conductive and insulative coatings. Our thermal coating service is fully customized. Process choices depend on customer’s demands and the chosen materials. For any questions about surface treatment and enhancement, please do not hesitate to give us the message or email. We welcome for the discussion with you.
