Friction caused by bending of the screw leading to heating up
Generally, after the screw is heated and twisted, it is easy to cause bending and deformation. Then the friction with the inner hole of the barrel causes the temperature rise to cause the plastic to turn yellow, black, scorched, and stick on the screw. In addition, excessive friction will also cause loss of screw and barrel, reduce service life, reduce production efficiency and affect mixing effect.
Our though hardened steel screw is a high-wear-resistant alloy steel, with high deformation resistance and high impact resistance. The whole screw hardness is HRC58.
This kind of screw is most commonly used in high-wear and deformation-resistant bending screws for engineering plastics with glass fibers added.
This screw is ground and shaped by a special screw grinder. This can ensure the concentricity and straightness of the screw and the root diameter and the smoothness of the root.
At present, our company has two grades of though hardened steel screws: TCS-41 (applicable to engineering plastic + 35% glass fiber) & TCS-43 (applicable to engineering plastic + 20% glass fiber)
