Unlike RCA analog audio cables that transmit sound directly, Balanced Analog Audio (BA) interfaces use two channels to transmit signals of the same signal and opposite phase. The receiving device subtracts these two signals, and the interference is cancelled out, resulting in a high-quality analog signal. Balanced analog audio usually uses an XLR connector and a large three-prong connector. Due to the locking device, the XLR connection is quite secure. The large three-pin connector uses a 6.35 mm diameter plug, which has the advantage of being wear-resistant and suitable for repeated plugging and unplugging. Balanced analog audio connections are mainly found in advanced analog audio equipment or professional audio equipment.
