Anode bag
Anode bag for electroplating is used to anode basket in order to prevent the anode slime arising from the electrolytic solution process from entering the electrolyte.
The electroplating process called electrodeposition is a process that uses electric current to reduce dissolved metal cations so that they form a coherent metal coating on an electrode. At the cathode, the dissolved metal ions in the electrolyte solution are reduced at the interface between the solution and the cathode, such that they "plate out" onto the cathode. A power supply supplies a direct current to the anode, oxidizing the metal atoms that it comprises and allowing them to dissolve in the solution, in order to replenish the ions in the electrolyte bath continuously.
Some metals that do not deposit at the cathode, sink to the bottom of the electrolytic cell, where they form a substance called "anode slime". It is a type of sludge which would contaminate the electrolyte solution and made the electroplating imperfectly.
In order to prevent the anode slime from entering the electrolyte, we use this product the " Anode Bag" to anode basket.
